My wife and I met a bunch of people here for a couple of laughs. The 8 of us sat down for dinner. I will mention the positives first, the move to the negatives. I got the lobster Alfredo with steak, from the power card. It was good. Everyone that ordered this menu item, got their steaks done to perfection! My wife got s chicken quesadilla, which was quite good. The drinks were fantastic! The girls loved the berry mojitos!! Our server was attentive, nice and accommodating. As always, the games were fun. The only complaints that I had were regarding a couple of the appetizers. First, the calamari was not very good. It lacked flavor and had very little meat. It was served on top of a mound of onion straws, giving the illusion that there was a bunch of calamari, but in reality, it was difficult share due to the small amount. Secondly, the nachos were pretty unappetizing. The meat was a yellowish color, and there were very little toppings and the chips tasted like styrofoam. All in all, I would've rated the appetizers with one star and the entrees and drinks 4 stars, so I averaged the two.

Summary ahead of time: Dave and Busters is a decent place to hang out with sober adults. Down with paragraphs - let's do a list. The good: +They have a wide variety of games, some classics and some new. +It's never been excessively busy or crowded. +4 way air hockey? Sweet! The bad: -Quality of some games could definitely be higher. Broken/malfunctioning games are fairly common. Fruit Ninja has something like a 2 second lag. -They're in the middle of nowhere. Seriously. Unless you're staying at the Holiday Inn next door this is way out of the way. -The junk that you can get with tickets you win is just that - junk. -Not a great environment for kids - loud, a slightly sketchy crowd, etc. The ugly: ---Customer service - recently we went in with a coupon they had e-mailed us. I believe it was for half off games or similar. They refused to honor it (blaming a technical glitch on their part), but then said they were running another promotion to make up for the glitch. That one was for $20 off any purchase of tickets. They then wouldn't honor that promotion either (the $20 off). Finally, after I called over a manager the kid gave me $10 off tickets and acted like he was doing me a huge favor. I should have walked out then, but, well, it's a long drive. This is really a 2.5 star review, but I'm rounding up to be nice.

Just before Christmas 2013, Dave & Buster's ran concurrent Groupon and Living Social offers for all-you-can-play Power Cards at the bargain basement rate of about $10 each. This was more than enough to get my attention. Who doesn't love a cheap night out? ...but then I realized that the redemption period on the deal had already elapsed and to add to the situation, a comparable offer was no longer available at full price. For those that missed out on the usage period, D&B offers 60 points' value (a fair compromise) good for use anytime. Among area businesses, would this make D&B worthy of a special nod for especially smooth and courteous Groupon expiration handling? I think so! The Good? 1) The 1/2 price Wednesday Games special is still going strong. Most prize games run 3 to 4 points per play under the offer (which you don't have to ask about. The card readers on the games have already been adjusted). The cheapest machines you'll find are the "classic" Skeeball lanes in the very back corner of the Midway. Simulator and action games had point ranges all over the board. Your mileage will vary but, with a $20 charge, gamers should be able to get in a few hours of entertainment, at least. 2) It's entirely possible to win a large number of tickets. The group trivia game, Connect 4 with its bonus, the milk jug game... they all will pay out. 3) It's easy to save tickets and credits on a Power Card for use during a later visit. 4) There's a decent mix of skill, quasi-gambling, action and ticket-generating games. Some driving. Some shooting. Four-way air hockey. Photobooth. The Not So Good? 1) Food, drinks and games could add up to a somewhat high bill if you're not careful. There are deals and you're going to want to use them. 2) There's plenty are parking, but few (if any) other venues close by to walk to. If you're bar-hopping/venue-hopping, this place should be one of the ends, either first or last. 3) Some of the games are a little outdated. The Time Crisis setup, in particular, played very inaccurately. 4) The conversion value of the tickets is rather low (not unreasonably so, but there're few pleasant surprises here). There are definitely some interesting trinkets available, but unless you hit a number of jackpots, you won't be leaving with much. The cheapest candy is about 75 tickets. Gummies will run you upwards of 200 per pack. Notes: * Thinking of going here for a date night? Do it, but don't think that you were the first to come up with the idea. * There are rules about minors that may or may not be enforced strictly. * The Midway (gaming area) was the main focus of this review, but the venue's large and offers table games, a bar, restaurant and meeting spaces too.

Great atmosphere, which i expected. However unexpected is how great the food was. The grilled Salmon was superb, as well as the rice.

We planned a group date to D&B to watch the Mizzou game and to play games ourselves. After going over the entire menu, we all made our orders and settled into watch Missouri win the Cotton Bowl. Our food arrives and that's when we all got disappointed. Our orders: Chicken Parmesan - wasn't as warm as it should have been Unloaded Queso dip - lukewarm, should have been steaming hot 3 Burgers - burgers fine, the fries weren't cooked Boneless wings & fries - brought the wings, forgot the fries Our waitress wasn't around as much as one should be. Yes, D&B can be packed but it wasn't as bad as I have seen it in the past. She finally delivered my missing fries but quickly left before everyone else could say something about their food. A manager stopped by our table, we didn't see him at any of the other tables, to check in and 2 of the burger orders got their fries replaced but we didn't get a chance to report any of the other food problems because they hadn't been tried yet. I'm not sure if we will eat there again if we go back but if we do I hope it is a lot better than this experience.

Personally not a place for me. The food is mediocre but came here to take my 7 yr old granddaughter who loves playing games at small carnivals and knew she'd have a blast here and she did.

I love going to Dave & Busters. It's always a fun time. I usually go for the eat and play combo's so I can get dinner and a card to play. It's the best route to go if you're wanting dinner and fun. The food is delicious. I personally like their chicken and steak menu items. And their mashed potatoes are DELICIOUS!!! All the games are fun. It's almost like a grown up Chuck E Cheese. You can win lots of tickets and go into their prize room where you turn in your tickets for prizes. Their prizes range from candy, to shot glasses, to blenders, to game systems and games. Overall, it's a fun experience!

We went for dinner about 10:30 pm Friday night. The waitress came right away to take our drink orders, but we had literally just sat down, so we told her that we needed a few minutes to look over the menus. She dropped our drinks off, then went off to do other things. It took almost 15 minutes to come back to take our order. The food was ok-I ordered a dinner salad and pretzel bite appetizers. The salad was a typical small salad, only with tortilla chip strips. The pretzels were ok-it came with two mustard sauces, which I didn't eat, and cheese, which was a bit grainy in texture. Not the best food I've ever had, but they comped my soda and my husband's tea, I suppose because it took so long to place an order.

I'm a Dave & Buster's newbie. My first experience wasn't great. The impression I had was that Dave and Buster's is a super fun place with great food and lots of games. I was underwhelmed. What did I think of D&B? Meh *shrug* Maybe its because I didn't play any games and clearly you come to D&B for games and not the food. The atmosphere reminded me of a casino. Smelly, dirty and loud. I'm not a germphobe but some disinfectant wipes for the games seems like a good idea to me. Bob only knows what is festering on them. The waitress was slow and clearly uninterested in being there. The service was equally uninteresting. The food was just plain horrible. I didn't know it was so hard to make a decent tasting burger but I was mistaken. I ordered the Black Jack burger expecting something along the lines of the Jack Daniel's burger at TGI Friday's. I couldn't have been more wrong. My dining partner said the fish and chips were equally bad but her salad was good. My recommendation would be: Eat lunch some place else and just come here for the games. AND...bring some hand sanitizer.

I had a joint birthday get-together here with another friend, and it really was a great place to get a large group of people together. While we waited to be seated, we hung out in the bar area. It was really big, with plenty of room and bartenders to quickly get a drink. The food was okay. Nothing too memorable, but not bad either. Think Applebee's or T.G.I Fridays. You can expect a decent appetizer or burger. But the real draw to this place is the games. The arcade area is absolutely huge with a ton of different games. Again, this makes Dave and Busters a great place to bring a huge group of people. There is something for everyone. You will have to wait a bit to play Skee-Ball--it is everyone's favorite! There is also a huge bar area in the arcade, so those who would rather hang out and drink than play games are happy. There are a few drawbacks. It is really, really bright in there. A bit too visually stimulating! After a while, you start seeing spots. Also, it is a little strange to see little kids and families hanging around at midnight or later. One of my friends is a teacher and she saw a few of her students...a little awkward when you're out celebrating with drinks! It's also a little expensive to play games. On the flip side, the tickets from the games can get you a TON of prizes. Most of the people I was with gave me their tickets since it was my birthday, so I walked away with a ton of shotglasses, a martini set, a Mizzou stuffed animal, silly necklaces, and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't even remember. This is a good place for anyone of any age! It really does bring out the kid in you.

I'm a huge fan of making it easier for me to play arcade games. Dave & Busters has a card swipe system that uses a Powercard (which you can reload) which you can use to play games instead of tokens! I love the concept of not having to carry around an obnoxious amount of tokens just to keep playing. The arcade area is monitored by personnel who make sure that kids under 21 aren't running around alone. This keeps the crowd largely under control. The arcade area actually surrounds a bar, so having these people is understandable. They have the usual arcade games like the motorcycle and car racing games and skeeball. You name it, they have it. I would watch out for the electronic shock machine. It actually does hurt, it uses an intense vibration to make it feel like you are being electrocuted. I mean, it's not fun, unless you like that feeling.... The food is good too. I always feel the need to get a burger because it's in my comfort zone on the menu. The buns they use for the Bar Burgers are sweet and buttery. They remind me of bigger versions of White Castles, but without the intense onion taste. Delicious and cheesy.

Great food, lot's of choices, LOT'S of fun! This is a yearly tradition for us. If you are there for food alone, you might spend in the moderate price range, but you can get caught up in the games, which can really bump up the cost, which is why I chose the spendy range.

This was one of the highlights of my trip to st. louis. went here for a bachelor/bachelorette party, and had such a blast! we came during a power hour on a thursday night, and ended up scoring so many tickets in one hour, it afforded us the opportunity to "purchase" the following: 2 Grateful Dead style D&B Tshirts 1 D&B coffee tumbler 5 rubber bracelets 2 glitter rubber bouncy balls And, I won a stuffed frog from the claw machine on the first try. Food was mediocre, kind of like a TGI Fridays, but the concept behind this place is awesome. Ever since I got kicked out of the ball room at Chuck-E-Cheese when I was 10 years old, I've carried a chip on my shoudler wishing there would be a place for those who are older. Thanks Dave and Busters, for letting me play all my favorite games while getting totally shitfaced.

Save some money and go on a Wednesday where everything is like half price. Definitely had a good time... they really only lost a star by not being smoke free and their selection of prizes for the ticket wins was lame. But I did win a "Dub Island Soundsystem" CD in some cheesy token game and that pretty much made my night.

Their food isn't anything special. It's your typical fried/grilled food place. There isn't anything here that i particularly like, but I never had a bad experience. With that said... THEY FREAKING HAVE A SNOOKER TABLE! FREAKING AWESOME. But every other time I'm there, it's covered and used as a table for a reserved dining area. Also... pool here is so freaking expensive, it's ridiculous. the Arcade. Lots of fun to be had here. They don't update the games that much. Sometimes, it's the older games that are the most fun, like a Sega racing game in which 8(?) of you can compete in a race. good times. Also, there are the gift ticket games that can be addictive in an online flash game sort of way. It's strange what you're willing to put up with if it means getting a prize... All in all, this place is for the experience, rather than the food. However, if you're in the mood for some arcade shooters and driving games (i think they have a Pump machine too...), this place is tons of fun. Just don't get run over by the kiddos if you're coming in during the day. Favorite thing there at the moment: Mario Kart!!!!!!

  • Ryan S.

It's an arcade, a restaurant, a bar... and it does them all pretty well if you're looking for that combination, but it gets expensive quickly. They pride themselves on being "primarily an adult establishment" (no, not *that* kind); under 21ers must be accompanied by someone 25 or older, which may cut down the crowds, but sometimes it's pretty rowdy with kids playing games earlier in the evenings, despite the higher cost of food, drink, and gaming that probably exceeds their allowances.

  • Michael H.

I freakin' love this place. I always feel like a little kid again playing arcade games. Food is great, beer selection is quite decent, and the overall ambiance is quite good as well. The only thing keeping this place from being 5 stars is its declining condition. Many times games are out of order, and recently my card stopped working, which lost about 5 years worth of Gold credit. Even with all of this, though, I still love to go here.

    (4)
  • Ash D.

Every time I come here I get pretty sloppy and play WAY too many games. I'm not a games junky, but its hard not to become one here! I personally love Ske-ball! Just like at Six Flags. I'm pretty good at it. I never really eat the food when I am there, mostly the games. The drinks that are there are pretty awesome too. Whoever our waiter was must of liked someone...we got them CHEAP! woo So if your ever here remember to have fun...thats what this place is all about!

    (4)
  • Andrea L.

Decent food nothing to rave about. The games can be fun, but are expensive. And you can't carry ona conversation with aynone because of the noise. I've always had fun when I'm there, even if I can't hear when I walk out and have to take a break from spending for a few weeks to make my bank account look right again.

  • Rob C.

the only reason to eat here is to get the eat and play combo for $16 (features $10 game card). games are typical--racers, shooters, some interactive ones like boxing, some older ones, plus pool, skeeball, shuffleboard, basketball, etc.

    (3)
  • Jess P.

Overall atmosphere of this place is amazing! I only go on Wednesday to take advantage of the 1/2 price games, we normally do the combo play, and eat in the game room. So I've pretty much given up on the food, every time I come it gets worse than the last time. This last visit I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes, and macaroni n cheese. The steak wasn't cooked to we'll done like I asked it was medium well, I t was still delicious. The mashed potatoes were a small serving. The macaroni and cheese was flavorsless and dry. So I didn't think the meal was appetizing. The prize room was a little empty. So our plan is to eat else where and then come here for the games.

Fun get away to escape St Louis summer. Met friends there to share some lunch before hitting game room. Our last food experience there was mediocre this was the same. Mini burgers that have no texture and a pre fab taste, wings with ok sauce but not crispy, fries that are ok, but not hot or have a crunch. Salad has a nice ranch dressing but wimpy lettuce. Too bad the food is not as good as the games, but thanks for the $100 crockpot I earned w my tickets.

Been here a few times and always have a good times staff is friendly, although sometimes a little slow. The food is typical bar and grill style. I've always enjoyed my selections even though it's nothing fantastic or fancy. The game room has some cool stuff and plenty to keep you busy, but I agree with others. They need to update some of the older games and get broken ones fixed or replaced. Also some 90s multi players like Simpsons, golden axe, etc would be cool to see!

    (3)
  • Private M.

The food is pretty good for bar food and the dishes are fun. This isn't health food. The games are starting to get run down. We went here yesterday and found quite a few games weren't working properly, had bulbs out, screen reception was fuzzy, etc. This location needs to go through the game room floor and do an audit not only on what games don't work like new, but also which games are horribly dated. The multiplayer race car game where half a dozen people can compete says 1994 on the main screen and the graphics look like they are 20 years old. The staff is friendly and the bathrooms were clean.

I had a terrible experience here last night. I had been there for about 3 hours & was with 6 other pple who we all bought game cards & purchased drinks. We were most definitely paying customers & were having a great time. My friend & I were engaged in a deep conversation & sat down at a fairly large table in front of the bar. Another couple was was sitting at the other side of the table . It was in the game area & in front of the bar we had no idea they were tables apart of the restaurant. It felt more casual. So the server comes up to us & instead of asking us to leave In a professional manner since we too are customers& in a very relaxed venue . This venue is a place pple go to have fun& relax . My friend & I did not mean to offend anyone & once asked to move from the couples table we would have apologized & left. It's the tone not the words one says. The server acted as if he was their friend trying to pick a fight with us. I was completely thrown off & offended how he handled the situation. I feel like he may have thought we were belligerently drunk.. Not too sure why he treated us the way he did. We may not have been apart of his paying table but we could have been. He could have asked to serve us at the table nearby& regardless we are paying customers of the establishment. After he acted that way& he walked away. I turned to the couple & said "I'm sorry if we were offending you by sitting here I wish you would have just told us" the lady started telling me in an aggressive manner "bye"! "Bye "! Over & over again & putting her hands at my face. I began to get very upset. The server came back over to stir the pot more because he had NO tools in customer relations to settle this kind of situation down. He was so unprofessional I would have been embarrassed if I was his Manager. I being a Property MGR pride myself on training my team on service. this server handled it incorrectly from the first sentence to us. I was so offended by him. The couple could say whatever they felt but the server should have maintained professional & controlled the situation . Instead the server fed the fire. I told the server I wasn't speaking to him after he tried to continue being rude to me . So he walked away. And we continued exchanging more words to the couple . The woman was saying rude unnecessary things to me that I fed into & became upset. But I felt when we walked away it was done. I didn't threaten her or him & they didn't threaten us. And when we walked away none of us continued speaking or even looking at one . we walked 2 tables away & sat with our backs to them so we wouldn't even see them . 2 police officers & I guess the MGR walked over & said they allegedly watched footage where we were getting aggressive & we were asked to leave. And not only leave but escorted out! I was appalled! The footage obviously didn't have audio & if thru seen footage they would have seen the woman initiating the aggression . The way we were treated was horrible! We were treated as if we fought someone . We are adults who had words with other adult patron that did not escalate, nobody was loud so no other customer would have heard us & we were not using inappropriate language either. I'm appalled at how the entire situation was handled . Please beware when there. I will not go back & I will ensure my word of mouth on this place is not good. I come in contact with hundreds of people at work in 1 week. And when my clients ask me suggestions to take their family or where to have a party it will NEVER be Dave & Busters.

Horrible service, gross food and overpriced games. Never again! After mentioning our issues to the waitress and manager I thought we would at least get an apology. I was wrong. I'll never go back. Ever.

My boyfriend and I recently went to Dave and Busters for happy hour and power hour. The happy hour deals were half-price cocktails and two dollars off large draft beers. I had berry-berry tea which was delicious and my boyfriend had a Newcastle. Our bartender was very personable at first but after 10 minutes she began to bash the company and complain about her job. The servers joined the bartender in complaining about their jobs and the company. Clearly the employees did not like their jobs. The power hour was $10 for all you can play games as long as they did not give out tickets. One hour was plenty of time to play all of the games anymore than that and I would have started to lose my interest.

It smells like poop here. Literally. But it's right near a dump ("Champ") so what do you expect? LOL. But yeah, it almost ruined my night entirely. A lot of games were broken or needed to be fixed. In fact one of them broke WHILE I was playing it and no one bothered to try to fix it for us when we complained. 800,000 tickets later, and you might be able to get an only some-what-cute stuffed toy or some type of electronic gadget that you could have just paid $100 for in a store but instead you just paid $400 for because you're an effing r-tard. But hey, that's not why people come here, right? LOL. BF and I had a pre-Kate-going-out-of-town-for-two-weeks date here and we just played race car games, FPS games, and fighting versus games. We did get a few tickets just because I insisted on playing the horse racing game and the other game where you're a squirrel dropping stuff into buckets....or something....yeah. Hazy. Bartender seemed mad at us for asking for waters, and my BF still wanted to tip the guy. What for? Water? Di hydrogen oxide? Seriously. Wasn't even that busy. Hopefully the other employees here aren't like that. The room where you exchange tickets for useless stuff (I mean prizes!) was SO filthy and messy, omfg. It's like seriously, people, clean that shit the fuck up! Agreed with Dave F. I guess. Love/Hate. I'd love it more if it didn't smell like shit!!! :( Still had a reasonably good time here with my BF. They need to clean up the act though, both figuratively and literally!

Visiting family in St Louis. Staying at Holiday Inn Express (great hotel) close to D&B. Niece works in office park by hotel. On her lunch break she took us to D&B. I was apprehensive, thinking we would be eating in a noisy game room. What a pleasant surprise! The dining area was not at all noisy. Families and couples were at the tables. The games were down a hallway and did not disturb us at all. Niece recommended Philly Cheese Steak and Broccoli Cheese Soup as the side dish. Our server was friendly and prompt. Kept the coffee and cold drinks filled. BEST PHILLY CHEESE STEAK WE HAVE EVER EATEN! LARGE, JUICY, CHEESY. The soup was amazing also. I want to go back tonight for dinner! Excellent experience. Five stars from all of us.

I came here for the first time ever and I had a freaking blast! You must go for their eat and play menu. I tried out the "Island Grilled Trifecta" the shrimp was pretty good, the chicken okay and the steak was tough, the rice was good. I would try something else, i just didn't know what I wanted I was overwhelmed with the huge menu. After I got the Eat and Play I got the upgrade for $20 of play all for $23.99, thus making my actual food $3.99! I played a long time off that $20.00, if you go on a Wednesday games are half price so it would take you even further. I played the gigantic pac man game with my friends and it was a blast, you have to eat each other while staying out of the way of the bad guys. There is this light game where you have to be quick and hit all the lights on the board, i was sweating after that game! They have games like fruit ninja, bowling, a full three point basketball game, lots of virtual games, lets make a deal, the crane games, they have just about anything you need. I do have to say there drinks are expensive about $7 a pop, if you get there before 7 it is happy hour, i managed to miss it by three minutes, if my server would've just came to the table quicker! They also have a big pool table room and shuffleboard area. It is a great drinking atmosphere, now if they just had a casino connected to it, i would never leave! Try it out one night instead of bar hopping, you will get to eat, drink and play as they say, it is very true. I will definitely come back more often now I know what it is. Look online for coupons and sign up with your email to get $20 of free play when $20 is bought.

This place is HUGE. For lunch, the chicken fingers (aka "Goldenfingers" I think) were pretty good and well-priced (see picture). They came with a side of Chipotle Honey Mustard, and they also brought me a little cup of regular Honey Mustard. The seasoned fries were very good. Afterward, we played pool. The tables we used were 8' tables. The cues were relatively straight, and the balls rolled well - better than your average bar pool table anyway. Here's my one complaint. The restrooms are all the way back in the game room - past the length of the restaurant, into the front center of the game room. And the wooden hallway that leads from the lobby to the game room was so slick (from being waxed or mopped) that I almost fell 4 or 5 times, going back/forth to the restroom!

We go to D&B's every couple of months because it's one of the very few places BOTH of my children enjoy. (An extreme rarity in my family.) there is a decent selection of games... Racing games, shooting games, claw games, air hockey, and who doesn't love skee ball?? The problem is that every time we go, several of the games are malfunctioning in some way. Not enough balls to finish your skee ball game, prize tickets not being rewarded, triggers not working on guns, etc. Frustrating. Staff is willing to try to fix the problems with the games, IF you're lucky enough to see someone. I refuse to order any food here. The few times we've dined here, the food was TERRIBLE. Now, I'm not expecting a five star dining experience, but I do expect my food to be at least warm. Who wants to eat cold food?! Even my children won't eat their food, and they will eat almost anything. My advice would be to eat before you visit! The women's bathroom is pretty gross. Hold it if you can!! The staff is 50/50. I've had great customer service, but also terrible service. My bottom line is that you can go and have a pretty decent time, but expect a few disappointments along the way.

If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend and I went late to avoid all the family's and kids, so we get there at 10;45, assuming we could stay until 1. We get in , order food and drinks and spend $35 on tickets and a card. Not knowing that there is a 21 under rule after 11, a " employee" comes over with two Maryland Heights police officers and doesn't ask for ID's nothing, tells me that I look under 21 and I need to leave. My boyfriend had a beer in his hand so she told him he could stay. After I tell her I've just spent all this money and show her my ID, proving I'm not 21,asking her very nicely if I could just stay since I'm spending a lot of money and not drinking;she says it's not her problem and I need to leave. My boyfriend being completely quiet this entire time, the two police officers come over and ask " if this one is going to be some trouble" and grabs my boyfriend, who happens to be Hispanic, by the arm and drags him half way across the room before the " employee" stops them and snickers that he is 21 and wasn't causing any trouble. This visit reeked of racism and fraud. Never going back, ever. They're lucky if they don't get sued.

Next time I'll eat before I go. The food was not all that great and it took *forever* to be seated. They gave me an online survey to fill out on my experience but the waitress admitted privately to me that anything less than a perfect score reflects badly on her (which is so common these days and I *hate* it) so I couldn't even be honest about the food. The dining area manager that night was an idiot. After waiting 25 minutes for a table we walked up with our buzzer and the hostess started to walk away to lead us to our table. He *stopped* her and forced us to stand there in the aisle awkwardly while they discussed where to seat two large groups. What an idiot. Leave that for after you take care of the customers in front of you, please!!! The Midway is pretty sweet though. You'll drop some $$$ here but every time I go they have some new cool games. Loved it!

Awesome. Had a great time! Only thing was the waitress didn't know any of their beer prices. Other than that, it was awesome!

We hosted a private party here for a college graduate...it was great! We had a nice room with an appetizer bar (coffee, tea included/cash bar) and two very friendly and helpful servers assigned to our party. Everyone had a wonderful time, the food was quite good: Chicken kabobs, fried shrimp, salad, nachos, hot wings, buffalo chicken, cheese and fruit, mini burgers, spinach and artichoke dip, etc all beautifully presented, hot, and tasty! Games were just around the corner for those who wanted to play. It made a party for 26 guests a dream...SO enjoyable and easy to host! Thank you, D & B!!!

Had a terrible experience both in the restaurant and at the bar! First we ordered a meal that had potatoes or salad or steamed broccoli as side options. We requested the broccoli and got potatoes. Then they fixed it and brought out raw broccoli. Then the waiter brought out a bigger drink than my friend ordered because "it's your birthday!" But then charged her for the upgrade. She didn't even drink 1/3 of the drink and didn't really want the bigger one in the first place. When we asked, he just said that he had given her the bigger one and that's the price. He went ahead and finally gave her the difference back. Then in the bar we ordered three fancy, expensive shots. The bartender only made two shots then remembered we ordered three, so he just evenly distributed the two amongst three shot glasses. So we got tiny little shots, but we're still charged the full price. I was so disappointed with this experience I doubt I'll go back. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars that do it right. This glorified arcade is not worth over paying for crappy food and skimpy drinks.

I looove Dave & Buster's! I always feel like I leave here every time knowing that I had a really good and fun time. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes I feel like my pockets are emptied out too but oh man some of the games here are just really addicting. There are many games available but I think the most value would be to play the games that spit tickets out just because you can get a prize for it at the Winner's Circle. The best prizes lately have been the free appetizer or dessert for about 750-1000 tickets and besides that I always leave with a bag full of candy. Now, let's talk about the food... I have to say that I enjoy eating here from time to time but it is very much hit or miss. Sometimes it's spectacular but unfortunately most of the time it's not. I've probably ordered the same items at different times and all I have to say is that it's very inconsistent and even downright nasty on rare occasions. I wouldn't come here thinking that the food will be awesome because then you will be severely disappointed. Just think that you are there to have fun playing games and maybe have a couple of drinks then maybe you will also have a 4 star experience like me. Weekends here can be insanely busy, like you can barely walk around and there are lines for some games busy. I would avoid coming on a Saturday if at all possible and maybe even a Friday. I think Wednesday is the best day to go just because the games are half priced all day and of course it's less crowded. If you think you are going to be a repeat customer then definitely join their Rewards program so you can rack up as many points as possible and end up being rewarded for all the money that you will be going to spend.

So..the only reason I've giving 3 Stars is based on my visits over the last several years. My most recent visit wasn't the best. I tried something new and it didn't jive with me. This visit I tried the loaded tots and the fish and chips. Everything was far too greasy and unenjoyable. The fish had the bone down the middle...UUUMMM WHO DOES THAT! I typically go with chicken quesadilla and should have done so this time. The games here are always fun and satisfy the kid in me. Their Happy Hour drink specials are great...1/2 off all drinks. You just can't beat a $2.50 drink. No food specials though.

I've always loved this place until I had a terrible experience last week. I was there for a special event and an employee was just plain rude to me. They are apparently training their employees to follow rules that do not make any sense. I asked for him to explain the rational to me and he could not. Here's what happened...I bought a drink at the Dave and Buster's bar (THEIR BAR). I walked down the stairs into the opening entry way of THEIR RESTAURANT. I did not go outside with the drink or anything, I was simply filling out a contest form for the promotional event. After I entered the contest (inside their establishment mind you), I was not allowed to go back to the bar with my drink. THE DRINK I BOUGHT AT THEIR BAR. I told the employee I was not bringing an outside drink into the bar and that I had bought it there, but he said it didn't matter. I know bars do not let you bring in outside drinks, but I don't understand why I was forbidden to carry my own drink I bought from THEIR bar freely around THEIR restaurant?! The whole situation made me very angry. I was planning on purchasing more drinks, but just left instead. Great job D&B.

Ok food, really slow service! Wait staff seemed uninterested in providing timely service. Come and get appetizers and play games food not worth the wait.

Food is better at McDonalds. Service really lacked; slow food; server took away our fries before we were finished. Bathrooms were horrendous. This chain really is getting laughably bad. Even the entertainment/games pale in comparison to home video game consoles. Chuck E. Cheese beats them any day.

The play is fun but the food is just ok nothing to rant and rave about. I got the chicken quesadilla (too much cilantro and green peppers cut too big). My honey got the apple pecan salad and liked it but he said they were short on the chicken. I guess it works for this kind of establishment it is. On a busy night, don't plan to get great service. They'll take your order, bring your food and about 2hrs later finally bring you your check. NOTHING in between. The drinks are normally pretty good. I always try something new.

Went to D&B before a concert and the food was awesome. Loved the Slider and Wings appetizer. Our server, Nikolai was great, very helpful with menu and drink suggestions and was very attentive. Great asset to this place. We will be back!! Review originally written May of 2013

I come here at least 2 times a week because I work in the area. When paying for my check, the waitress accidentally charged my card another customers amount which was $20 more. I called the next day when I noticed it on my account and called to speak with the manager JR. He looked up the receipt number and stated he'll return my call after he investigated it. When he called back he stated he would apply the difference back on my card. Well that was 2 weeks ago and nothing was returned. When I called 4 other times I was placed on hold more than 10 mins each. Although it's $20 its more the principle of the matter and how unprofessional the managers are to not return any of my calls or voice-mails. Me nor my co-workers will return back here. Very disappointed

OK first off...this is a chain. I have been to this location many, many times. I go there because I love video games and arcades only this one has a bar. Perfect! The food is meh...ok but by no means 5-star. The table service is dreadful. I recall one visit where I ordered an appetizer that took a good portion of 30-45 min. I go there from time to time for the entertainment, though...not so much the food. The drinks are a little pricey, but the game-related costs seem reasonable.

If you do decide to choose this location make, sure you check your credit card account when you leave. The server (Paul) charged my card $46 dollars more than he was supposed to. Then when I called back that night I spoke with the manager J.R. and all he told me was the server was excited and just swiped my card, instead of separating it like he was supposed to. It is not my problem that he is that excited where he can't focus on doing his job correctly. This was a careless mistake that should have never happened. My account was pending for that whole amount for the whole weekend and I don't appreciate being inconvenienced that way. I was told by J.R. that he would speak with the business manager about it that following Monday and I would receive a phone call no later than Monday afternoon.. Did I receive a phone call?? Absolutely not!!! So that further lets me know the type of business they run. It was a group of six of us with children and we will go out of our way next time to patronize a company that appreciates their customers and not just brush them off.

OK...I am SO torn on how to review this place. I have this weird love-hate relationship with D&Bs...and it leans more towards hate. But, that is mainly because I'm a non-chain, non-throw-your-money-away kind of guy. But, I'll say this: D&Bs does a good job of putting a nice shiny face on the things I tend to loathe. First off, the location. D&Bs is far. It doesn't matter if you live in freakin' Earth City, it STILL feels like it takes forever to get there. It is nestled back in the big ol' Earth City park which houses offices, condos, hotels, gas stations, nuclear armories, casinos, blah blah blah. I mean, EVERYTHING is back there. (Side note: Don't go to D&Bs if there is a concert at Riverport/UMB/Whatever It's Called. You'll pay the price!) Upon entering, you will notice the really nice decor. I'm sure after many, many openings and places around the U.S., these guys have building these things down to an art. The place isn't dungy or dank or anything. But, it's shiny gleam covers up some ickiness. Drinks and the bar are nice and suitable, but you are probably going to pay too much for too little. They are your run-of-the-mill Applebee's-type cocktails. Fun names and varying flavors to make you think you are getting more than you are. The food is much the same way. Flashy menus with pretty pictures hide that it is all glorified bar food with zero healthy options. If you want a good steak, don't go here. If you want a quick burger before you spend $100 buying a stuffed animal, you came to the right place. The service is really average. Sometimes, the wait staff is super great and attentive. But, more often than not, they are over-worked, under-trained, and not prepared. Oh well. Who came here for food and good service, anyways? Where are the games!?!?! The huge game room has another bar and seating for food if you really want to have bells and screaming in your ear while you nosh on a hot wing. The games are good and offer a wide variety. I'm especially fond of the games where you actually shoot a ball or throw something. Good aggression killer. Speaking of killers, here come the prices. The prices for the games vary, and vary so much that you are ALWAYS left with a little extra change on your card. (That's how they make their money, after all.) You are going to spend a BUNDLE trying to win stupid little tickets that you can turn in for a clock that breaks or a stuffed bear with a D&B t-shirt. But, WHO CARES, right? It isn't about the stuff -- it is about WINNING! I'll be damned if I throw all sense of monetary and logical reason out the window when I'm trying to score more than 300 points on Skee-Ball...for hours! So...that's about it. I mean, it is Chuck E. Cheese for adults without the pizza. There are kids a-plenty, so go late if you want to avoid them. If you want a really good meal, go somewhere else. But, if you want an evening of entertainment and don't mind dropping a Benjamin or two to do it, head to D&Bs.

WARNING! You may be offended by this review. I can pretty much sum up this place with two words.....douche bag. I recently went to D&B for a happy hour with some work friends. First of all, the place is very loud. As I looked around at the patrons I noticed a common theme. Most of them were douche bags. D-bags come in all shapes and sizes. There is the "cowboy" d-bag who thinks it's cool to wear boots, wranglers and a 10-gallon hat to a bar in Maryland Heights. Then there is the "I've never touched a woman and live in my parent's basement and play video games all day" d-bag. Then there is the "MMA/Tap Out/Affliction/" graphic tee wearing d-bag. Regardless they are all d-bags. The beer selection in unimpressive as well as the food. If you are really into video games this is the place for you. I would suggest going some place else if you want real entertainment beside d-bag watching.

Your typical Dave and Buster's. I have been to many of their locations ( more than 10) and honestly nothing stood out about this place. It is out of the way and not real easy to get to for an out of town person. The food was good like normal. The games were crowded because I went before 10pm on a weekend. If I am back in town, will I visit again, yes.

I had always sworn I would never get dragged into a cheesy ass place like D&B's, but the Mrs. loves her some arcade games. I took her for her birthday last year, and recently went with friends to blow off some work-related steam. This place is sort of a Chuck E. Cheese for adults, but with lots of alcohol. There are a ton of games for little ones, and a few for old folks like me. I was happy to see a rounder of Galaga, PacMan, and Centipede. (But where the fuck is Defender? I could play the SHIT out of that game in high school.) I would love a pinball machine or two. Highlight of the night? Watching two massively built twenty-something dudes chest-bump in midair over the winning of a thousand tickets. Which gets you, like, one cheap-ass stuffed animal or a Beyonce pendant. Or you could just spend your hard earned $ buying cheap shit from China at the local WalMart. Same thrill. Sweet!

Love it. Im seriously here all the time. Im actually starting to get good at pool :) This is like an Adult chucky cheese. I watched the Super Bowl here this year and the servers are really nice and are cool with you just chillen out watching the game. This is a good weekend spot to go and enjoy with your friends. If you get a D&B card you can get rewards like 10$ credit towards a 20$ purchase.

I like the concept of this place, and have been here a handful of times, but the last time we came on a weekend night, they charged us an entrance fee! Huh?! This is not a club, nor are we here for a live band. I felt totally ripped off before I even set foot inside the arcade. Sure, the games are lots of fun, but rather expensive. And the bar in the middle feels rather silly with all the kids walking around. Who brings a five-year-old to a place like this at midnight (or any place that's not home, for that matter)? I'm not really crazy about the prizes either, most of which have the D&B label emblazoned across the front. I don't think I'll be coming back here until they do away with the ridiculous entrance fee.

    (3)
  • Ben K.

I can't vouch for the food, but I can vouch for everything else. The games here are a blast; the prizes aren't TOO awesome, but regardless of how many tickets you can gather, playing to get them is the best part. Bar service: very attentive. Even when the bar was totally packed, plus people stopping by the bar for a drink to take around the game room floor, the bartenders are always at your service. As for the environment? I can't say that I enjoy a ton of people wandering around in a dark room full of flashing lights, but after being in there for a few minutes, I completely forgot about everybody else and just had a good time. A few extras: HUGE parking lot, bad location (tucked away in a business park; very strange), my opinion would be to leave your kids at home (this is more of an adult place, IMO) and it's definitely not as bright as the photo provided would lead you to believe. :)

Decent food (not great, just decent), bar(s), great billiards room, and a football field of arcade games...what's not to like? That said, it is a bit of a haul to get there for most of the metro area, and good lord, could it be in a more nondescript location? They really should make it a bit easier to find the place. The pro's - PowerCard system so you don't look and sound like someone with a chain mail adult diaper on due to all the quarters in your pockets. The food is decent, lean more towards the 'bar style' food and you'll be fine. The Buffalo Bar Chicks were actually really good. The steaks, seafood, pasta, etc. are average at best. The con's - Regardless of what they do to manage it, there are still a ton of kids here earlier in the day so time your visit according to your tolerance level of miniature humans. The location - uggh. Tips - If you're looking to play games (and why else would you be there?) but not wanting to drop a load of cash there are a few ways you can economize. Always get one of the eat&play combo meals, go to their website and join to get $10 in free gameplay (and future offers that are somewhat regular), and go on Wednesdays for 1/2 price gaming.

I haven't been to Dave & Buster's in years. We came here to celebrate on NYE's. What a blast. The card reload process is a bit complicated as there are so many dang-on options. Lots of games of a wide variety. An issue was that some of the card swipes weren't working so we couldn't play some games. Annoying. Plenty of bowls all over the place so that you can store your winning tickets. The drink prices here are amazing! And I am not just talking beer..mixed drinks even. I would definitely return. Note: I did not eat the food so I can not comment on that aspect.

I typically only end up here for a few reasons, happy hour or vendor sponsored events at work. Dave & Busters offers great team building events, and is a great place to unwind with some friends or co-workers or even your children. I will admit that the prices of thr games can add up really quickly, so its probably not best to spend more than an hour here especially if you have more than one kid trust me it adds up real quick. The food here is average, nothing amazing reminds me of an upscale Applebees.

visit was on 12/22/13 at 1 pm. Hostess stand 5 people and the place had a total of 5 tables occupied. The girls were not friendly or prompt. With the place was not busy. We waited for our server for over 10 minutes and then he greeted us. We order and waited almost an hour for our food. Got our food and our server never checked back with us. We had to flag someone down and tell them we had a cold hamburger. The server asked us to take off the bun and topping so he can put the burger my guest took a bite out of back on the grill.. 20 mins later we got our hamburger back with no apology and the same bite out of it back. We had to ask for our check and kept us waiting for everything.

Waiting for the hostess to seat us took about 5 mins. She was to busy chatting. That should've been the first sign. After we got seated our waitress never came to introduce herself. It was 5p on a Wednesday. Only 3 other tables including ours, so definitely not busy. After 15 mins of waiting, my wife, son and myself decided to leave. During our 15 mins at the table our waitress took the table next to uses order. They got there after us but we thought maybe she would go to out table next. As we left the waitress and hostess were up front chatting, clearly not concerned about the guests or guests leaving. The food would be good had we gotten to eat any.

This place sucks. First of all, the games are crappy. There are only a few categories of games. And the games in each of the category are redundant. They have racing games. They still have the same Daytona game that was out 15 years ago. They have shooter games. Games where two people can shoot zombies or what not... but you can only make it through a portion of a level before you have to feed the meter. They have games of luck... drop a ball into a hoop for tickets, spin the wheel, deal or no deal, etc. I really don't see how this concept will continue to work. I can play better games on my iPad, and much better games on a home console like X-Box or PlayStation. Hell... I would have had more fun at a pinball bar, or at a bar that has games like Big Buck, or Golden Tee. Attrition is a bitch, but you have to evolve to remain relevant. Unfortunately, D&B's seems dated and will probably follow the path of Blockbuster. And the pricing for games is a mystery. Games here are not one token or 2 quarters... you have to buy a game card and load it with credits. Each game costs an random number of credits. But it's a bit difficult to really figure out how much you're spending on each game. It's like trying to quickly identify if an item is a good value in another currency. We're in America... please price your games in the currency of our country. I shouldn't have to figure out the D&B exchange rate to identify the value of the game credits.

Loud, expensive and with mediocre food. That pretty much sums it up. I usually hit this place once a year for kids' birthdays and I'm not sure if I blow more money here or on the boat. With that being said, I usually have fun. The food. Not horrible, some of it is really good, but in general it is not memorable. That is pretty much expected from a place that draws its crowd with video games. And a ton of video games there are. Neither of my kids really care about the video games as much as the "kiddie gambling machines." Talk about priming them for a life of slots and roulette. They sit on their stools and drop coins in to the "silver falls" waiting for that "big hit." The only other thing they need is a cigarette in one hand with an inch of ashes still attached and a vodka cocktail in their other hand as they collect their tickets. Be prepared to spend $40 or more on games. It is usually about $70 to $80 before we get out of this place. The sound level is slightly below that of the chorus of slot machines at the casino. You become immune to it after about 15 minutes. Service is typically bad. There is about a ten minute lull between initial greeting, drink order and dinner order. Then you may not see them for and hour or so to get your bill. I think it is a conspiracy to keep you in the gaming room gambling your money away. Although obnoxious and expensive, I'm glad St. Louis has one here. It is a good experience and fun once in awhile, but not a place to go regularly.

Love/Hate Addictive games to compete against friends like the new "PAC-MAN ROYALE", fighting or racing games. Addictive games to blow stuff up like the new terminator game . Then there's a new touchscreen games for tickets including a badass sword fighting game. All addictions are love-hate because there is always a price. I'll blow through money here faster here than any place else.

The food was below average. Spent $300 here today - at a sports bar in St Louis - and they refused to turn the Cardinals baseball game on the televisions! The TVs are all displaying out of town football games. I was about to give the six kids I brought here today more money, but I guess we will go to a place that understands its market a little bit better. St. Louis is a BASEBALL town.

We will def. go back to this Dave and Busters! The service was good, the food was really good (burger for me, ribs for hubby, chicken for kiddos). We ordered form the play and eat menu - good deal I think. But I tipped on that price, so I am pretty sure I overtipped by 10 bucks!! O well, she was pretty good. But I will look at the food prices before doing that again! So bottom line, for 100.00 we got food for four and lots of fun for the kids. It is a special occassion kind fo place for them so it was worth it.....

Was a little crowded at first. But after all the concert goers cleared out it was great. If your new be sure to get your card at the front desk before you go to play games. This was a bit frustrating after making our way to the game room and back to the front. Bar tenders worked their rear ends off.

On a cold, December afternoon, we decided to catch a football game and bring the kids over to Dave and Busters. This was our first (and last) visit. There is only one reason this place deserves one star. The waiter was nice to us, which was most likely the result of us being obviously very upset prior to his service. If you have a few minutes, read on, and I'll explain four accounts of just out right awful business "policies". I'd like to say first of I am not usually a complainer. I like to see the good in businesses and I usually Yelp all the good I can. However... Fist off Their web site was down. We were attempting to download a coupon for the arcade, but since the site was down (for over 24 hours) we just went and I asked the girl at the front desk about the discount online. She said she could not offer the coupon unless it was brought in or downloaded onto my phone. So, I left the line and attempted to once again access the site, this time from my phone. Again, their website was down. We were denied the coupon. Next, we walk to large screen TV area with dining. The sign outside the area clearly stated "self seating". We went in, and sat at a booth where we could see the games. A "hostess" comes over and says that the booth we sat in is for 10 or more patrons. Apparently, our party of 4 did not qualify for self seating at that booth, which was the only place you could sit and watch the games. On our way out of that dining area, we said to the hostess that the sign said "self seating". She then walks over the the sign, and turns it around, and does not say another word, or offer to help us find some other place. We then walk over to the arcade area so that the 4 of us can sit at the family friendly arcade bar to dine and watch games. Out of about 20 TV screens, not one of them was tuned into the game we were wanting to see. Only a few people were watching games, and quite obviously the screens we sat under could have been switched to the game we asked for. I looked around and NO ONE was watching it except for us. I had to wave and FLAG down the guy behind the counter to come over so I could ask him if he could change the channel. He said no, only the managers can. I asked him where the manager was, so I could ask him myself, and I was told "I don't know....I haven't seen any around lately" Now more frustrated, we go back into the dining area with the rude hostess and ask her if she will please seat us at a table for 4. Someone then takes us down to a table in the corner, without a view to the game. I point out the original booth we requested AND a small four person table right next to it, where the football game was visible. Again we are told those are for 10 people only. I asked about the small table next to it and was ignored, and the staff literally said that was the managers policy and waled away. At this point I was getting uncharacteristically angry and was getting very tired of being told about managers policies, when no manager was in site. I asked for the manager, and the guy who was trying to seat us at this point, instead of getting a manger, said for us to go ahead and take the booth we originally "self seated" ourselves into. So, we went and sat at the booth.... When suddenly out of thin air, the original rude hostess comes and sternly tells us again we cannot sit there. I point over to the man who gave us permission and she basically starts saying something about managers policies. Again, I ask for a manager and no one can produce one. Then the nicer guy talks to the rude hostess and she backs off. My husband, myself and the kids at this point were so uncomfortable that we truly felt like leaving. However the kids were thirsty and so we started with some lemonade. From this point on, the staff was helpful and courteous, and the rude hostess was no where to be found again. We left the booth within an hour (well within the "two hour" time limit). We went over the arcade games which the kids enjoyed. I suppose if you want to drop $40 on arcade games so that your kids can buy a pack of laughy taffy and some gum, its worth it.... In all honesty this is exactly why I prefer local businesses over corporate chains. Local businesses actually care about service and keeping you as a customer, and they usually hire qualified employees. With the exception of the waiter who served us lunch, no one in this place cared one ounce. If you want a Walmart style fun park with poor service, invisible non existent mangers, and feel like wasting about $100, go for it. Other wise, save yourself the misery.

While my immediate family (mom, brother, sister, brother-in-law, and I) was reunited for a few days to celebrate my brother-in-law's homecoming from Afghanistan. Though we are all of drinking/gambling age & eligibility, we decided to venture out to Saint Charles county for an afternoon of eats and games at Dave & Buster's. Talk about a juvenile, but AWESOME plan. We sat down for a meal... all of us deciding to order from the "Eat-and-Play" menu. My brother ordered the Double Chicken Parm Sandwich, but substituted the sweet potato fries. We must be cut from the same cloth because I ordered the exact same thing. Oh wait, we are cut from the same cloth. Duh. The food was decent... not the best, not bad, though. The sweet potato fries were god, but were sprinkled with salt versus the brown sugar that I prefer. Each of us got a $10 playing card. I went to register mine as we waited for our food. Apparently, Wednesday's are 1/2 off game day. Ding, Ding, Ding! See what I did there? I used the definitive onomatopoeia of the fan-favorite games to express my elation at getting more bang from out buck. LOL. Yeah, I'm a dork. Because I registered my card, I now get rewards based on dollars spent. With every $100 spent at Dave & Buster's, I get a $10 play card as a reward. Plus, within 72 hours of registration, I also get a $10 play card. It really is a good deal. I don't go here too often, but with the right group, it brings you back to the childhood days of begging your parents to take you and your BFF to Showbiz. You all did that too, right? We started off making the rounds. We played a few games of Skeeball a few competitive basketball shots... I totally beat my over-confident brother's 6 feet tall self. I'll hold on to that win for years to come. You would too if you had my uber-competitive brother to call your own. We finally made our way to trivia. With a family such as mine, this was the perfect game. We were able to be competitive, show our prowess in our individual areas of expertise, and... this is the best part... since our tickets were all combined, we made bank. No matter who won, we all did with our fabulous prizes from the dollar store. I realize that going to Dave & Busters with a group of adults doesn't sound super posh or hip, but we had a blast. I'm sure our prizes will last a day, but our memories will last a lifetime. I have several hilarious pictures to make sure of that. Happy Playing

The place was pretty fun. But the power deals had bad food and didn't seem high quality. Also the cheese burger was definitely not the best one I have had. Also it seemed kind of dirty.

Still best if you have little ones but will admit...the new interactive games where you swipe at the screen with your hands is addictive!!!!! That fruit ninja game is killer fun and great arm exercise. Bummed they no longer have my favorite salad though :(

I have been going here for years and years now and while I like it enough to keep coming back I feel like this place could be much better. The food is subpar at best. I have never had food here that I liked enough to say "I want to order this again". At the same time I have never hated their food either. My recommendation is to eat before coming here. There are a few games here which are a ton of fun. I have always loved playing the trivia game and their new battle pacman game is a bunch of fun as well. I have found that some of the games do not work correctly though especially the sport game where you throw the baseballs. Also when you work out the price per game many of them seem overpriced. The staff here are normally very nice. I will give them that. If you are looking for a place to be a kid this place is great however if you are looking for some place affordable or with good food look again.

Going to Dave and Buster's is like going to Chuck E Cheese for grownups. Visiting this one made me realize just how lame my local one was by comparison. The Great Nashville Flood of aught ten took away Opry Mills mall and all of its tenants, including our weak-ass Dave and Busters that was formerly a Gillian's. However, this particular location has its priorities straight. Lots of arcade cabinets, delicious, ice-cold beer served in impossibly large containers, probably food, but really who cares. This place is about playing games and getting sloshed, two things I happen to be an expert in. I feel my prowess in light-gun games increases especially when quaffing 64 cold ounces of draft oat soda. Not so much with driving games, but hell, it's still fun. I came here with a group of co-workers to celebrate the departure of the worst boss ever. It was maybe the best place outside of a sporting event and opium den to decompress after six months of agony. Really hit the spot on so many levels.

Don't come here for their foods. It's sucks! Most unforgettable foods I had. Sweet Apple Pecan Salad was coated with cherry flavor candy dressing. The dressing was so heavy that salad were welted. Never experienced such a bad food that I had to laugh for serving this dish. It was a joke! The rest of foods also were tasteless or not cooked enough or overcooked or very salty. If you come only for games, they have many choices to choose from. When we got there, it was Saturday night. People (mostly singles) dressing up if they are going to dance to impress with their out fits or their trophy girlfriends. This place is definitely not for family especially seniors.

It's like I'm a kid again! I can't believe I haven't written a review of D&B's yet. I've been here dozens of times, yet its somehow flown under my Yelp review radar. Better late than never, right? This place is tucked deep in the heart of some weird industrial-like zone in St. Charles. Seriously, it's not easy to find unless you know exactly where you're going. But once you arrive, it's pretty sweet. There are tons of games to keep you amused for hours. Honestly, though, the only games I ever play are basketball and the trivia game. It's so much fun if you get a huge group together. Wednesday nights are half-price games. I think that's a new thing? I haven't participated in that. There's also a restaurant inside, which serves really mediocre food. It's along the lines of Applebee's. My advice? Come on a Sunday night (or some other weeknight). It's a LOT less crowded, and you won't have to wade through a sea of poorly-behaved children.

There is not a lot to point out beyond what others have said, but there are several things to highlight, put some emphasis on and put into a bit better context. First, the St. Louis D&B is in a highly accessible location just off of I-70 in Earth City. Take the first right at the light off of the Interstate, then it is about a quarter mile down the road. Very easy to find, as I worked in the office building directly across the street from here for a two year period (my desk even overlooked D&B). If you are going to eat, you would likely be better off just stopping by your local Applebees or TGI Friday's. The food and drinks at those two places are highly comparable, and generally cheaper. In addition, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, you won't have to wait upwards of an hour to get a table. On other nights, there is generally no wait, or a very short wait, but you will still find other places much cheaper to eat. On Friday and Saturday nights, 80 percent of the people there fall into two groups: One group is parents doing their own thing while they let their kids run wild all over the place. The other is two people on a first date, usually with the guy awkwardly trying to impress his date. Generally noble, but very painful to watch ;) D&B does not do anything at all to keep kids, especially young ones, under control. It is generally not an issue on other days of the week, as there is a lot of room and light crowds, but on Friday and Saturdays, it is a major hassle and annoyance. In addition, once you get your Gold Card, there are no higher levels of 'membership' or 'loyalty.' 10 percent off games is nice, but given the high price, low turnover/introduction of new games and chaos that goes on on Friday and Saturday nights, there is not much incentive to become a 'regular.' Overall, it is OK, but you would be best served to eat elsewhere as I mentioned above and go at some time other than Friday and Saturday night. Otherwise, you are asking for major inconveniences and a severe reduction in enjoyment.

This D&Bs is kind of a mixed bag. I'm eschewing my usual lovely prose and breaking it down for you as follows: Drinks: Weak. Bartenders: Slow-to-moderate. Waiters: Attentive and friendly. Games: Fun! Coupons and Specials: Beware, they have more terms and conditions than your phone contract. Crowd: All shapes and sizes. Parking: Free and plentiful. Customer service and security: Staff can be rude and pushy. Bottom Line: I've been here 4 or 5 times and I'd go back.

Great place to take the kids for some video game action.

Just FYI, a group of friends and I went to this Dave and Busters in Earth City over the weekend and nearly HALF OF US CAME DOWN WITH THE STOMACH FLU We're not sure if it was from contaminated food (since we all shared a plate of nachos) or if the machines were just that dirty. Realistically speaking, just how dirty do the games need to be to get nearly half of a group sick? Clearly there are some sanitation issues going on that the public should be aware of.

The main reason that I think of going to Dave & Busters is for the kiddos to play the games and not necessarily for fine dining, but I was pleasantly surprised. First if all the games were varied and something for all ages. The atmosphere was light and fun. I had the shrimp and chicken tsunami. The sauce was nicely balanced between the sweet pineapple and the savory with a nice touch of heat. One of my dining partners had the hamburger was disappointed. She disliked the taste of the meat, described it a tasting old. My other two dining partners had the Philadelphia steak sandwich and they both liked it. A mixed experience but the kids loved it.

My 9 and 11-year-old cousins were visiting from Korea, so my brother and I decided to take them here because, well, it's F'ing Dave and Busters. We got each of them a Powercard loaded with about $50 worth of credits (wait, I can supercharge the card for only $24 more?) We got each of them a Powercard loaded with about $74 worth of credits. (EDIT: Those figures were estimates, and ultimately way off). The kids predictably went to the biggest, most expensive, least skillful ticket-dispensing games possible. The Price-is-Right-like wheel was an especially big hit. You just pull a two-handed lever and the thing spins, stops, and spits out tickets. Each pull only costs 10 credits, which means each wheel can generate about $500,000 of revenue for Dave and Busters in about 20 minutes. There is utterly zero skill involved, and you'd think that this game would get old. Nope. Young Korean kids will do it over and over again, plowing mercilessly through the credits you had hoped would last forever. We ended up coming back one more time because the kids loved it so much, and at the end of the second trip we used 25,000 tickets to get a Wii fit. What a bargain! Why would anyone go to Target and spend $90 on a Wii fit when you can essentially spend $350 for a Wii fit at Dave and Buster's and get to spin a wheel over and over again for a few hours? All kidding aside, I know my cousins had a fantastic and memorable time there. When you need to entertain Korean kids, take them to Dave and Busters and splurge a bit. It is most definitely worth it.

This is the perfect place to waste some of your hard-earned money when you're sick and tired of not being able to shoot hoops and blast watermelon-sized holes in zombies on your more typical nights out. You're going to get some fairly decent bang for your buck with their card-loaded system of payment. Some of the best frivolities include SKEEBALL (awww yeeaaahh), shootyhoops, a timed sort of trivia game that you play against other people, and House of the Mother-F'n Dead. When you're done, collect your roughly 197 tickets and go get yourself $3 worth of pixie stix. Sure, you spent $25 to get it, but you had fun soooo...who cares? ;) You'd think that the other adult-themed parts of this outfit would suck...I'd say the bar and restaurant are slightly above average considering what Dave & Buster's is, but still mostly unremarkable. Small side bar: It would be really cool if those little buttons they put around the game floor that are supposed to call waitresses over to take drink orders actually got you a waitress. :P

I've been to St Louis many times and always talked about checking out Dave & Buster's, but only now finally did it. I decided to get the $15.99 special, which includes an entrée and a $10 play card. I went with the Blackened Chicken Pasta and I was impressed with how good it tasted. I also tried their Island Mojito which, while a tad sweet, was also good. Unfortunately, we didn't get into the play area until after 11pm and they closed at midnight. Each game costs a varying number of points, but Wednesdays are half point nights, so the card lasted a long time. In fact, we didn't get to finish all of our points before they closed. The selection of games is decent. Then again, I haven't been to a good arcade in a long time, so that's probably as good as it gets these days. I enjoyed playing Daytona USA for the first time in years.

[insert snarky anti-overpriced chain restaurant disclaimer here] I admit it: I like D&Bs, at least a few times a year. It's a fun place to meet up with a friend or two, or to take tween kids. Plan on spending a bundle to play games, and more to eat & drink. If you're bringing kids, eat at home, come to play games, and split a dessert or two. If you're meeting friends, be there before 7 to take advantage of Happy Hour and just drink & play. Service in the restaurant varies widely. The food is actually pretty good for a chain, depending on what you get. (Obviously, this is not a steak house, so don't expect it.) I've had wraps, burgers, chicken strips, mac & cheese, and grilled chicken dishes here that were all acceptable. The spinach dip is actually really good. The alcohol is overpriced; be sure you only order a drink if it's happy hour. The desserts are overpriced but very tasty and also oversized, so you can get one and share. The game room is great, of course: As many have said, Chuck E Cheese for grownups, with beer. $20 will usually give me all the entertainment I can stand. I like shooting dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park game, shooting zombies, racing snowmobiles, doing the boxing game, and am hopelessly addicted to a Tetris-like game called Chip Away. What's there to say about an arcade? Don't go if you have a headache, don't plan on winning that giant stuffed animal or even that teeny one (a whole nights' play and I got myself a Hello Kitty lapel pin)...and bring hand sanitizer for when you remember how many filthy kids (and adults!) have touched all those buttons and guns before you. I do recommend the desserts. Their donut dessert is yummy, and the chocolate fondue is a treat that, just like D&Bs, should only be indulged in once in a great while, and with a heavy sprinkling of "excessive overindulgence."

Hundreds of arcade games, shuffleboard, pool, cold beer, good food, and great service = awesome time! I always have a super fun and nostalgic time at Dave and Busters. The only downside is that it will cost you a pretty penny or two to spend an evening here between dinner, drinks, and game play. So be sure to come right after your payday! ;) Pool tables and shuffle board games are rented by the hour at the front desk. Although it can be a bit more expensive this way, you don't have to worry about hoarding the table or getting change. They have multiple areas for private parties, which I will keep in mind. Come here later at night for game time as most of the kids have gone home by then. We didn't have to wait for games when we waited until about 10pm to go in the game room. Dave and Buster's is a must go to place and worth the ~20 minute drive from the city. I got my ski ball quota in for the year and I will be back for more!
